RECEPTION

Reception is all about learning through experience as this helps the children to gain new skills, develop a better understanding and apply their knowledge.  Our role play area is a great place for the children to develop their communication skills.  The role play area has already been a Police Station, Cottage and an Ice Cream Palour!  Here it is as a Sweet Shop!

Our topic during the autumn term is the 'Mr. Men'.  We have been reading their stories and have painted our favourite Mr. Men character.

As part of our topic we have been learning about the human body and the skeleton - how it helps us to keep our shape, move and protect the vital organs!  Here are our fantastic 'funny bones' pictures on display.

These are our wonderful sunflower paintings.  We planted sunflower seeds when we came to visit the school before the summer holidays.  When we came back in September the flowers had grown so we measured them, learnt about what they needed to grow and painted them.
