Complaints Procedure
If you have any cause for concern, please contact the class teacher in the first instance. If the problem cannot be resolved, please make an appointment to see the Headteacher.
There may be a time when you are not satisfied with an aspect of your child's schooling, for whatever reason. There is a set procedure laid down which gives information about the steps that need to be taken to pursue your complaint. Briefly the format is:
1. Contact with the teacher.
2. Contact with the Headteacher.
3. Involvement of the Chairman of Governors.
4. Involvement of the Governing Body.
5. A formal complaint to the Director of Education.
Friends of
FOSS is a flourishing organisation run by the parents through a small committee, which raises money to buy ‘extras’ for the children, and also organises social events. Through these events we strengthen the bonds between parents, the local community and the school. Any parent is welcome to join the committee which is elected each September, and support from all our parents is always valued. Officers are elected from a committee, and the names are available from the school office.
Insurance
Parents should make their own arrangements if they wish their children to be insured. The County Council cannot be held responsible for accidents occurring on or off their premises, and will not make compensation or payment unless there is proof of negligence on the part of the Council or its employee.
