Behaviour and Discipline

 

 

 

We are very keen that children should be seen to be developing a degree of self-discipline appropriate to their age.  Discipline is based on the need to consider others and the safety of everyone attending, and also on the expectation that optimum learning can only take place in a quiet, ordered atmosphere.  There are behaviour zone boards in each classroom and all staff both teaching and non-teaching expect the same standards of behaviour and attitude.

 

 

Where a child's behaviour is causing real concern, parents will be invited to meet the class teacher and/or Headteacher to discuss the matter.  Misbehaviour is normally dealt with by the class teacher in a positive manner.  Every effort is made to eliminate the cause of the misbehaviour rather than punish the act itself.  If it is necessary for a child to have an Individual Behaviour Plan, this will be discussed with parents. 

 

 

 

Our three rules are:- 

 

 

 

·        Be kind, caring and helpful to everyone.

  

 

·        Listen carefully to each other.

  

·        Follow instructions straight away.
